Intro to Wheel Throwing

June 1-July 15, 2024, Mondays, 1:00pm-3:30pm

15 hours of guided instruction over 6 weeks (2.5 hours per week).

Access the studio anytime outside of class hours to master new skills.

Class is made up of six, 2.5-hour sessions that meet once per week for six consecutive weeks.

Taught by a seasoned artist, potter, and ceramicist at Minneapolis Pottery Studio.

Includes 25 pounds of clay, use of community tools, firing of artwork, glazes, aprons.

$240.00 per person

Students receive a key-code on the first day to access the studio outside of class hours.

Great for beginners, new-comers, or if you are a little rusty.

Relaxed pace, lots of demos, hands-on guidance, time for questions, friendly instructors, relaxing studio space.

Old clothes and closed shoes recommended.

Covers studio orientation, clay prep, wedging, centering, pulling walls, trimming, throwing various forms (bowls, cups, cylinders), glaze orientation and techniques, and more.

Tons of fun, everyone can learn pottery and have fun. A great lifelong hobby for the lifelong learner : )
